Tajouj Hamadto essentially is a 'Mobile Photographer' and proud to be one. She processes masterfully her excellent perspectives and compositions. Her work has been showcased in many different galleries but she dreams and plans on opening her own gallery in the near future. Welcome in Tajouj's architectural world and wish her luck !!!
Let me first introduce myself : I'm a Sudanese banker, wife, and mother of four, who has great a great passion for architecture photography.
How would you define your relationship with photography?
Photography has not only been my hobby for over 10 years now, it has become a way of life as well.
What would be the most important experience so far that has influenced your steps in photography?
Being a hobby photographer was not enough for me. I felt I had to learn so much more about this art. And this happened when I joined the "Sudanese Phototherapy Academy", back in 2006 and when I started learning the basics of photography, to become a professional photographer.
Can you please describe in a few words your photographer's philosophy?
I see great art in architecture and interior design, and the buildings speak for themselves.

Why are you so drawn by Architecture and Abstract Photography?
Maybe because I love geometrical shapes and am attracted by interesting leading lines.

'Crossing time'
What is more important to you, the mood/story behind your images or the technical perfection?
Both... Images can not be perfect without exquisite moods and unique techniques of processing.
Do you prepare carefully the locations where you are intending to photograph?
I normally plan everything ahead of time, I visit the location and already picture the compositions in my head before shooting. Once I arrive, I take plenty of photos from different angles and with different compositions.
What gear do you use (camera, lenses, bag)?
I have a fine Nikon Camera, but I use my mobile phone in my architecture photography, and I'm proud of being a "Mobile Photographer"
What software do you use to process your images?
I use Photoshop Lightroom, Snapseed, and PicsArt to process most of my images.
What is your most important advice to a beginner in Architecture and Abstract Photography and how do you get started?
Watch as many architecture photos as possible and learn all the new techniques.
Follow great architecture Artists, as they will inspire you and give you great ideas.
Shoot as many photos as possible. Don't never depend on just one shot.
What would be your favourite photo from the last years? Please tell us the story behind it.
"Curve" is my all favourite image from last year because it has won many awards all over many photography sites. It is basically showing a straight lookup of the interior architectural design of the Khalidyia Hotel in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
'Curve'
Who are your favourite photographers or mentors whose works have influenced you and your photography?
I'm truly inspired by the famous Berenice Abbott, and admire his great vision in photography.
I'm also inspired by my mentor Mr. Mageed Ashria from the Sudanese Phototherapy Academy.
We almost reach the end of this interview and I would kindly ask you to share with us your future plans or photographic projects you would like to be involved in.
I've showcased my work in many different galleries before, but I'm planning on opening my own Gallery in the near future.
Wish me luck ...
Is there anything else you wish to add and what do you think about 1X as a home base for your work?
I'm really glad to be part of the 1X big family, and so proud to answer the questions for this interview. I appreciate a lot all my friends and followers.
And last but not least, many thanks to Yvette for giving me this opportunity.
