Photographing against the sun can be tricky but also very rewarding.
A record number of participants submitted their work to this contest.
Excellent and wonderful images of the sun, low and close to the horizon as well as used as backlit creating wonderful lens flares.
The winners with the most votes are:
1st place: Heinz Hieke
2nd place: Isabel Guzman
3rd place: Secundino Losada
Congratulations to the winners and honourable mentions and thanks to all the participants in the contest 'Shooting against the Sun'.
'Vanishing point' is the currently running theme.
A vanishing point is formed when elements within the scene appear to diminish in size the further they are. Using a vanishing point is a great way to emphasize the large scale of a landscape or to add a sense of drama to your images.
If you want to get inspired, read the article 'Using the vanishing point to get a tri-dimensional effect' here.
This contest will end at midnight on Sunday the 7th of June 2020.
The sooner you upload your submission the more chance you have to gather the most votes.

Good luck to all the participants...

Isabel Guzman PRO Hello Yvette, thank you very much for your kind congratulation and excellent labour, as always. I take the opportunity to congratulate the winners and all participants for their delightful images: I have enjoyed very much watching each one of them (to me, they are all winners). I also would like to give my warm gratitude to all the friends who liked my photo: thank you very much for your kind support (it becomes so difficult to have to choose among so many wonderful works!). I also would like to express my thankfulness to all the marvellous people, behind the screen, whose excellent work make possible the good running of this site. I send, with gratitude, my best wishes to all of you. Please, take care! Warmest regards. |
