An aurora is a metrological phenomenon caused by charged particles entering the atmosphere from above. Apart from being scientifically fascinating, they are above all very beautiful and popular among photographers. Photographing an aurora can however be quite challanging. The light can change in brightness or movement in a few seconds and it's important to be at the right place at the right time to get a successful shot. Javier de la Torre has put together a list of amazing aurora photos that show us how beautiful this phenomenon really can be when captured by a skilled photographer.
